PowerApps business central licence

Hello,

I am building a powerapp that has flows that use the business central connector, which requires a premium licence.

My question is :

If I buy a powerapps premium licence, will a user without a buisness central licence be able to use the app and view business central data?

Or does the user need to have both a premium powerapps licence and a business central licence?

Thanks for your help.

I have the same question (0)

I think you would need both a PowerApps license and a Business Central Device User License.  The Device User has the same capability as a Full User, but you are not able to open the Business Central client.  Since you cannot open the BC Client you must connect through another application, such as a PowerApp or an ISV solution.

    Good luck with your solution!

    Hi

    To add to Ben comments.

Looks like with device license or team member license you get PowerApp license as well. But since Team has limitation your license is limited as well. I think all you need is BC device license to cover both. Or if user needs to see or modify existing documents from PowerApp then Team should work. See all documents below.

See page 7 of the following document : 365 Business Central Team Members also includes the “PowerApps for Dynamics 365

Thanks Ben and MahGah for the replies. So my understanding is that there is no way to provide a user access to Business Central via PowerApps without purchasing a BC licence?

The users will be creating and viewing purchase orders.

    Best regards

You are correct. Any access to BC require License. I think in your case you need either Premium or Device license.

If all they will do is creating and viewing purchase order a team member license would be enough. They are pretty cheap.
