Access denied to field Owner is disabled (DisabledOwned) in table Vendors (VendTable)

Hi

Customer is on D365 FinOps. I have customized roles. A user with a custom role is unable to copy existing vendor information from the source legal entity to the destination entity.

Getting the error message 'Access denied to field Owner is disabled (DisabledOwned) in table Vendors (VendTable)'. Can anyone tell me which privilege or duties will work for this.

    Hi Harsha,

Which specific duties do you assign to the new role?

    Hi Harsha,

I do assume you created new privileges for the vendor access. If you are using the standard privilege for maintaining vendors, there are some table permission overrides created. You will also need to add the fields used on the standard privilege. It is not only the Owner is disabled field.

The reason for this requirement is because there are some fields where the property AOSAuthorization is enabled. This is an additional security check part of the Table Permissions Framework. You can read more about this in the documentation: docs.microsoft.com/.../table-permissions-framework-reference

    Thanks Andre'

Are you suggesting that i need to add a 'table' for the role i created? Do you know which specific privilege will solve my problem?

Your suggestion helped in resolving the issue. Thank you.

I added vendtable to the role i created and added reference fields in that table and granted access.

    Hi Harsha,

Glad you solved your issue. You could also use the default Maintain vendors privilege. On each form you can open the option 'Security diagnostics' to see which security objects are related to that particular form.
