Lookup field

Hello All,

My IT is telling me that it is impossible to remove "base" columns. Say below we have NR. Aprašas - I want to remove Aprašas from the search columns.
I have more similar cases with journals etc. Is it really not possible to remove, or are we just lacking info? As it is - in some journals some base columns such as address duplicate partially with names or No. and make it inconvenient to parse/search.
I have the same question (0)

Your IT is correct. You cannot remove default/base columns (like Aprašas) from lookup dropdowns because they come from the table’s built‑in DropDown FieldGroup, and Microsoft does not allow deleting or modifying those fields. You can only add fields, never remove them.
Personalization lets you hide fields on pages, but not inside lookup dropdowns, those always follow the FieldGroup definition.
If you truly need to control the visible columns, the only solution is to create a custom lookup page and point the field to use that instead.

    Thanks,

    Thank you for the answer.

How difficult would it be create a custom lookup page? Are we talking 2-5 hours, 5-10 or 10+ hours of work for such an endeavor?

I don't think our IT/MS partner is used to such operations since they did not mention this as a possibility, so I presume it is a difficult task?

    Kind regards,
