Multiline field in quick view form

Posted on by 5

I have weird issue.

I am converting our system (Dynamics 365 CRM v8.2.18 on premise) to use turbo forms. I noticed that multiline field inside a quick view form is expanding to show the whole content. the problem is the content is vary from record to another where it can be huge and cause the field to expand, then the layout of the original form that contain the quick view form to be inconsistent.

I tried to control it by editing the xml form layout and specifying rowspan but no result.

am I missing something, or it is a bug? How to fixe it?

    Thank you for your reply.

So it is not a bug?! Is there a workaround for it?

    Hi Partner,

This seems to be by design behavior, With legacy form Rendering turned on there was a behavior wherein the Multiline fields will show only in one line however once the legacy rendering is turned off it is expected to show the entire data in multiline text field by expanding the lines and showing the entire text. This is expected behavior.
