I created a new user and when the user is trying to connect to GP, she receives the following error message:

"A get/change operation on table 'syUserDefaults' failed accessing SQL data dynamics gp"

More Info : "The server principal "(username)" is not able to access the database "DYNAMICS" under the current security context."

I don't know what's causing this problem.

Can someone please help me?

Thanks is advance.

    Thanks. This helped.

I deleted the user from the DYNAMICS DB user list and re-Mapped their login to DYNAMICS using the security/logins folder and adding the DYNGRP database role.

To get this resolved, go into SQL Management Studio and add the corresponding SQL login to the company database as a member of the DYNGRP role.

Or, go to the following path where dynamics folder relies and run the Grant sql script, the default path location is ; C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics\GP2013\SQL\Util\Grant.sql

Check whether the user have access for the company which you have tried to login in User Access window (Tools-->Setup-->System-->User Access).

If yes, change the security permission to the user to poweruser and check whether the user can access GP. If yes, delete the user id and recreate then provide the new role and check again.

    Hope this helps!!!
