    Hi,

Do you make use of batch helpers and do you run the process in batch? What do you mean exactly by 'long time' and has the recalculation run faster before?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hai

When you are clicking the recalculation button at that time one screen pop up and we give the period timing right, In that there will be an option called as advanced. Just elaborate that and there you can find one field where some numeric value 100 or 1000 will be specified. If you want to get a exact value then it wanted to be as 1000 but the performance is low and the system will be slow. If you enter 100 the performance is good and fast but the value will be pathetic.

    Regards

    Sunil

    Hi,

In addition to the answers provided above:

When using the recalculation functionality, also make sure you close the inventory periodically. Once per month should be good or when you have really a lot of transaction once per week. This closing will mark the transactions as closed and will then not pick up the same transactions again in a new recalculation. If you don't close the inventory, all transactions which are not closed can grow, also causing this behavior.

PS: You typed your question in the Tags field; I have moved it to the body of the question.

    Hi

I agree what you said, i have a doubt which is irrelevant to this post but to the understanding i am raising it. I we close the inventory once per a week then we cannot do a post transaction or back entry transactions right?

    Regards

    Sunil

    Hi Sunil,

If you close the inventory, then indeed, you cannot post new transactions with a physical or financial date before the last closing date. Closing once a week is exceptional, but once a month a good practice as part of monthly financial closing and reporting. You don't have to run it the first day of the new month, it can run e.g. a week later. You have to find a good procedure for your company. This will include that some postings cannot be done on a certain date when an entry is far too late. As exception, it is possible to reverse a closing; make transactions and close again. But for sure, it has no use to have not closed inventory for closed financial years.
