how to update Dynamics.exe.config

I have added a .net DLL to Dexterity,which is going to setup connection with SQL Server2005 database.I have to provide the DataBase information from outside of the DLL (from config file). Do i need to change the "Dynamics.exe.config" with the connection string or anyother way is there?

i have the DLL cofig file also.
