We're considering Idera's SQL Compliance Manager for some auditing functions in our Dynamics GP environment.  One specific requirement we have is to be able to track when the sa account is used and by whom.  I anyone familar with this particular product when used wiht Dynamics GP 10 or 2010?  Any feedback/opinions would be appreciated.

    Hi,

I don't know about the Idera SQL compliance manager, but it is fairly easy to enable the logon tracking in GP and track the user's activity in the SY05000 table of the DYNAMICS db.

Now since the 'SA' user is a pure SQL user, it will be pretty much difficult to know who is really using this account to log, since there is no connexion between the network user and the SA user (GP doesn't track that kind of information, since it's not an AD authentication mecanism).

    Hope this helps.
