Hello all,

still truckin' on thru the setup of 365 gee it takes a while but i know it will be worth it in the end.

Todays Question

Another business I know also uses 365 BC their GL ACCOUNTS is almost exactly what I am trying to create in my business header  classes as well as sub classes.

Can this be exported to Excel then uploaded into my business, I note there is no template for the GL.

If this can be done it would save days of data entry.

I await the forums reply.

Many thanks

Tez

I would recommend you check out the edit in excel functionality.

Then you can pretty much copy your data into an excel sheet and have your g/l accounts created in Business Central.

Hi Inge, thank you for your advise and link.

However, I could not get it to work. I got the addin Business Central Add-in for Excel, followed the instructions but it  did not load. I am obviously missing a step somewhere. I think it is in trying to get it  to reload back in BC

Hi, You could use rapidstart to export the other company's data and import it into the current one. First you must create a configuration package and export it and then import it into the company you are setting up

If I have been of help to you remember mark the answer. Thank you

Are you running BC on-prem or BC online?
