How to capture Project Invoices from Invoice Capture module

Hi,

I am looking for ways to capture Project Invoices from Invoice Capture module. I want to know in detail about the process.

It also discusses a bit on how it works with mappings etc.

I don't understand what you mean by project invoices. But if it is a cost/non-po invoice then it will 100% work.

I was referring to the invoices generated in Project accounting module.

Invoice Capture is normally used to capture invoices from suppliers (I.e. someone sends you either a printed invoice or a PDF of an invoice), that you then need to pay.

Capturing an invoice from the project module will mean that you will have to generate a print of the invoice, send it to invoice capture and then process the invoice again in F&O.

You could, but is it a good idea? You'd be much better off by using or building some kind of integration.

Maybe there is something that's missing from the question?

ExFlow (ISV) is able to handle the invoice capture of both suppliers and projects. We are using it currently. Since we are planning to replace ExFlow, I am looking for ways to capture Project Invoices too.

Can you explain the business case for this? As mentioned below, Invoice capture is specifically for Vendor invoices.

I have to say pass on this one. I'm actually uncertain if there is 100% feature comparity between Invoice Capture and ExFlow.

We did implement reading of cost vendor invoices at my former job (I'm a customer now), and I don't know if it is equal to what ExFlow does... But there are good people in this forum that know (-:

Hi,

There is no concept of project inovice in invoice capture, which means invoice caoture app wont understand automatically for which invoice the invoice came for, it has to be tagged in D365 after it comes to D365 from OCR app.
