How to Update statuscode of Newly Created Record

I need to update statuscode value when a record is created.

I tried to update via workflow, but the field will never show no matter what I try. Only statecode is shown.

May I know how can I update statuscode upon record creation?

You should select the Change Status step to change the record's statuscode value.
