Well, I have almost made it though the latest Rube Goldberg upgrade maze that is Microsoft Dynamics SL 7 FP1, but have run into an issue with Business Portal security Access. In this release, every user needs to have a BP Role AND a SharePoint Group assigned to access the appropriate pages. In the past it was only a BP Role that was required unless you gave them specific contribute access to certain pages/libraries. So I could either assign the suitable Sharepoint Groups for every user or I could run the Security Synchronization Utility that I read about. This utilities intent is to synchronize members of a BP Role with members of a SharePoint group. Perfect! The only problem is that it does not work. Like, after install, it removed my Administrative Tools option from my Start Menu…classic. Before I get into more details, I was hoping for feedback as to the following: 1) it works for you great (then I need to correct my setup somehow even though it won’t let me) 2) it works but it would have been easier just to setup the users manually (130+ users) 3) it never worked for me, I gave up when it kept locking my system Mahalo, Scott
