I am new to creating Excel Reports in GP10. I have successfully created a couple reports for one of our GP companies and want to use it with 3 others.
I attempted to export the report from the base company, as an xml file, and import to the others. I am not able to over-ride the SQL select statement where the database is being chosen from within the report (see Options/Display SQL). I would think that GP would be smart enough to know when I am publishing from a different DB. I must be missing something.
I tried the "duplicate" function but the new report was still tied to the original GP DB.
I know the Excel Reports are visible in each GP company (while logged in as SA) but I am not sure how to "publish" to each of our GP Companies shared directories on a network location. Each time I re-publish it just over-writes the original excel file saved in that companies report path.
