Manually calculate the earnings difference and enter a single check for the difference in Time and Dollar with zero hours and the total wages difference allowing SL to calculate Social Security/Medi/Taxes etc.

I am assuming that the time has already been process through time and dollar before the new pay rate was entered.  You may not define this as easy but one way is to enter a new time and dollar batch for the affected residents using negative hour entries at the old rate and positive hour entries at the new rate.  If you have already updated the employee(s) with the new rate, the entries for the negative hours will require you to edit the rate on those lines because it will default to the new pay rate.
