Dynamics 365 for Financials Delays and Performance Issues

Hi,

A client of ours who is about to go live has repeatedly shared concerns about performance issues and delays in Dynamics 365 for Financials. 

It starts with the cyan splash screens with branding that is displayed after entering credentials to log in. At times, it takes longer than 30 seconds to get past it. There are issues that surface in other areas as well. We have also found issues when working in the Report Layout Selections and Custom Report Layout screens.

To my knowledge, there is nothing that a partner / CSP can do to address this concern besides reporting the issue to Microsoft. Or is there? In a NAV on Azure deployment, we would throw more compute resources at it, but here our hands are tied.

With more customers signing up for Dynamics 365 for Financials every day, I advise Microsoft to pay special attention to stay on top of performance / service quality and address performance issues quickly before the product develops a bad reputation for being sluggish.

    Hello AJ,

    If you or your customers are running into performance issues or "lagging" please open a support incident with Microsoft describing the issue that is occurring and include the tenant name that is experiencing the issue so we may dig into it immediately and take care of the issue.  If multiple tenants are experiencing the same issue, please include all tenant names.

    We also have an existing client who is having significant performance issues.  It is effectively a "system down" issue as each page takes minutes to launch.

    Experiencing very similar problems in a Contoso demo tenant (MSTND454537) at the moment.  Long hang trying to log in, sometimes long delays moving between pages, sometimes 'Working on it...' pops up, basically unusable.  Have logged a ticket but am interested if these problems have only started recently, if many people are experiencing them, or if it is just a few users.

    For myself I would say that speed has improved and D365F does not seem to be stalling, hanging or slow this afternoon (Friday 7th).  Do others agree?
