Hello Jo,
Since purchasing an Add-on is not an option, I would suggest the following options:
1. Customize your report to print on three pages each time it repeats the same data but with different layouts, might not be an easy task to perform this due to the complexity of the mentioned report.
2. Create your layouts on different report forms, for SOP you have 4 forms you can use each form can print a different layout, but the end user will need to selec the invoice three times and print each on different form, you can then customize something on VBA to automatically generate and run a macro to automate the printing process.
Thanks Victoria will check with client but I dont think they will want to use an add-on product
Jo,
Is using an add-on product and a Crystal or SSRS report an option? If so, using our product, GP Reports Viewer, you can create 3 individual reports (with the headings being the only difference) and have all 3 automatically print when the user prints the SOP report.
Thank you all for your replies.
The report is the Sales Order (SOP Blank Order) which is a standard or customised GP report (dont think it would make a difference in this case). The client would like the report to automatically print 3 times when pressing the print button with a different heading in each reports. They do not want to have to log out and back in again. I dont think it is possible but wondered if anyone else had any ideas. Not sure if there was anything I could do in VBA?
Hello Jo,
Thank you for using Microsoft Online Communities. I understand that you would like a report to print 3 times with 3 different headings. I would like to verify which report you are speaking about.
Within GP you have access to either the modified version of the report or the canned version of the report. You can only have one version of the modified report that is stored in the Reports.dic.
If you would like to have multiple versions of a report there are a couple of options that you can do. Note none of them would allow you to print the same report multiple times without logging out of GP and then logging back in to print the report.
Option 1: Have multiple versions of the reports.dic so you can change what reports.dic the system is pointing to. THIs will allow you have multiple versions of the report that you can select based on what reports.dic you are pointing too.
Option 2: Create multiple copies of the modified report. Once you have created one copy export the report. Now create a second copy of the report. When you are printing the report make sure that you have imported the correct copy that you would like to print. You will need to import whatever version of the report you would like to print before you actually print it.
If you have any other questions please let me know.
Best regards,

Dan is correct.
Is the report a SQL Reporting Services (or other) report or standard Report Writer?
Probably need more specifics, but based on the question, it is unlikely. Depends on how you determine the 3 different times/headings.
