Import User did not create entry in DirPartyTable

I imported a new user from the Active Directory but she is not present in the Relations dropdown. Would someone please explain what the 'Onboarding' process is and what step I have missed as the new user is not present in the DirPartyTable?

    Hi Simon,

Can you elaborate? How did you import the user? What exaxt dropdown are you referring to? Which form/field?

    Hi Andre

I used the 'import from Active Directory' function as I have done many times but when I go to set the 'Relations' the user does not appear in the dropdown list....which means they are not in the DirPartyTable.

    Hi Simon,

The relation you have to setup is with worker (or customer/vendor contact). So probably the worker has not been created yet.

I think questioner is talking about User Relationship drop-down and expecting a record in DirPartyTable, to map user with a party.

Usually it  is required to create Party manually. Party is not created automatically on import of user. Lets suppose my party is Employee or Vendor, that I want to Link with user. I cannot  link those under user relationship unless I create a party. System is not supposed to create employee or vendor or any kind of party during  import of AD users

Issue was resolved as it turned out the user had recently married and had not informed us of the name change....i was able to select the user under their previous name from the drop-down.
