Understanding ms bc licenses and scaling up to full dynamics

>>

Will a user need an essential license or a team license if they are raising p/o and sales orders ?

With BC, will we be able to add custom fields ?

With BC once we get to a certain size we will need to go through a major data migration to use the full ms dynamics 365 ?

Can BC handle subsidiaries and consolidation of accounts without manual data entry ?

    Just quotes can be created

Stock ordering would have to be with a purchase quote.

Approvals are fine for team members

Team member can check stock but can’t do any processes with it

Can approve an invoice which then goes on to be posted as part of the workflow

    Hi Josh,

Can a person with a team member license do a s/o , p/o and quote, what is the licensing impact on CRM and ERP, can a team member order new stock for example ? can a team member approve a quote for a new sale etc, can a team member check in stock and assign it to a task for processing service etc, can a team member invoice even though it may then sit in a queue for the accounts team to apply to the GL / P & L etc

Quotes can be handled by a team member license (cheaper one). Orders is the essential license.

Yes, you can add custom fields with development or there are market place apps (appsource).

80gb for the data. 40gb for media (pictures and document attachments). If you go over you pay more per month. It is possible to migrate without all the data but that is largely down to whether you keep read access to the legacy system or preference for the users.

Intercompany and consolidation is possible as standard and does not require rekeying of data. This includes orders, invoices and journals. Consolidation will do an elimination process to avoid duplication
