Business Process Flow in 365: "Incomplete Steps" error instead of warning

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by

Hi, we have a strange behaviour with our Business Process Flow when someone wants to move to the next stage with missing mandatory fields.

Instead of the system warning message (yellow background) and the indicator icons against the fields that have to be completed before advancing, a window titled "Incomplete Steps" pops up.

Please have a look at the screenshot. Anyone out there has a clue what's the reason for this?

(On Premise V. 8.2.2)

    Hi,

Just some additional questions. Have you tried disabling/enabling it, clearing the cache and trying it again, and trying different browsers?

Also, did your organization just undergo an update?

Can you download and share the log file mentioned in the error?

    Hi, here's the log.

Deleting cache and different browser doesn't help.

The same issue happens in my BPFs too. It started after one of the recent update a few months ago.

This was recent update for out of the box error handling in business process flow.

Since this issue only happens to Yes/No option field, I would like to think this is a bug. But I can't find any information to this issue except this new thread.

I am having the same issue.

Is there any way to trap this error and show a custom message?

    Hello,

I have the same issue, any ideas?

Is there a newer version than V 1612 (8.2.2.112) for on premise ?

I am also facing the same issue. My BA's are not happy that this ugly error message is alerted instead of the yellow warning messages. It does only appear to alert that message for yes/no fields.

Any updates on this? Is it a Microsoft bug?
