An inconsistency was detected during an internal operation in database 'HQ'(ID:7).............but CHECKDB does not confirm this
We had the above error in on our HQ sql server. This has happened twice since we moved to a virtual/Iscdsi san solution. We have about 30 stores that poll data back to HQ. The error occurred during this process.. What is weird is checkdb does not find any error but we Had to restore to backup to allow stores to start polling again.
Has anyone experienced this?

Hello eho,
This is an interesting error; and you may want to bring in your partner depending on what you find.
I'm not sure by your post if you restored the HQ or a store backup to resolve the issue.
Are you running Database | Check and Database | Reindex on the store databases or at HQ?
I would make backups; and then run on the store and HQ databases to see if they show any errors.
You may also want to check the size of the ldf files for the HQ and store databases. The normal log file size is 20 MB.
Hopefully this helps.
We ran dbcheck and it comes up clean. We have page fault set to none on the HQ database this may be why dbcheck come up empty. It has happened twice since we went to a virtual/san solution. We did a restore to correct the problem. It happens during polling and the HQ is a large database 22gb. I am just looking to determine root cause and eliminate. I am on simple restore. So log size is not an issue.
Thank you for the follow up.
As far as possible causes of SQL corruption you may want to try posting your question in the SQL Server community:
social.msdn.microsoft.com/.../sqlserver
I would try changing the page fault on the HQ database so that dbcheck returns any issues..
You could also check the SQL Server error logs to see if they are showing any errors.
Also, you could try moving from the virtual/san solution in case that is causing the issue.
