Hi,
I generated a role that gives access to menu Item "collective update"
But I have this error message:
*This post is locked for comments
You see the menu item so you have some access. But what access level did you specify when you added the menu item to a privilege? "Update" sounds that you need to grant at least Update right, Read is not sufficient.
access level is delete :
If you look at the run method of AssetDepBookUpdateDepConvention, you notice that it runs another menu item, AssetDepBookMassUpdate. And as you can see in your error message, you don't have privileges to execute that.
If you look at the standard privilege (AssetDepBookUpdateDepConvention) it has two entry points:
1) AssetDepBookMassUpdate
2) AssetDepBookUpdateDevConvention
You need to add this other entry point to your privilege, too. Or just use the standard privilege. Is there a reason why you could not use the standard privilege? I suggest you use it.
Thanks it works :)
Hi Nikolaos Mäenpää,
in the same case as the access level,I have this form:
I give access to button "transfer" but to user.
But when I login with this user I don't find the button,I want to know all the menu Items that depends on this button to add it in privilege.
Hi Basma. Here is the general process:
1) Open the form in AOT and find out what menu item button it is (in this case it's Action menu item AssetDepBookCreateJournalDepreciation)
2) Navigate to this menu item in AOT
3) Right click the menu item - Add-ins - Security tools - View related security roles
On this form you can see that privilege AssetDepBookJournalTableMaintain grants users access to this button. So you can add this privilege to your role.
I have a specific development, that makes all the menu Items that I need in table then I generate role. so I want to know all the menuItems that depends on this button to set it in this table.
Well, just look at what menu items are in that privilege and try with them.
You might save a lot of time if you used the out of the box privileges.
I have some specific menuItems which doesn't appear.the other are appear.
but I have a problem with menuItems that has countryRegionCodes: doesn't appear.
what does means countryRegionCodes?
It means this menu item is visible only in the context of those countries.
