Hello everyone,
 
Any way to change Quote auto numbering from:
Quo-SEQNUMMER - RANDSTRING
Example: 
QUO-01075-D77W3T
 
 
To:
SEQNUMMER-revision ID

QUO-01075-1
 
Next revision:

QUO-01075-2 and so next

    Right after several revisions ive got:
    QUO-17139-IHBEGO
    QUO-17136-4665LA
    QUO-17134-93EB93
    QUO-17133-8O89UO
    QUO-17132-96A4LH
    QUO-17104-E9JNK7

    For the same quote after each revision. In that case what point of Random string if each revision got own sequence number?

    We have Dynamics CRM on premise Version 2104 (9.1.24.11) (DB 9.1.24.11

    What i mean:
     
    Old Numbering (CRM version 8):
    QUO-17142-1 (revision 1)
    QUO-17142-2 (revision 2)
    QUO-17142-3  (revision 3)
     
    New Numbering (CRM version 9):
    QUO-17142-MJBB9O (revision 1)
    QUO-17144-6ADK8G (revision 2)
    QUO-17145-6AFI7L (revision 3)

     
    Any way to switch back to old numbering format? Dont see any sense to generate also random ID at the end if Sequence still go +1 with each revision

    I don't think this is possible.
     
    Custom development may solve but you need to try:
     
    For example
    1. Export and import - You can try by updating data using excel but this will be manual steps. export the data from CRM update the sequence.
     
     
    Please try this on sandbox or other environment then only move this production.
