Images in EP - Product Catalog

Hi there,

I have created new product groups and realtes items with Images in ECPresentation.

It is showing in Customer Self Serivce Portal Product catalog. However it is not showing images. Its is showing as red X. I have uploaded .JPG files.

Any clue on how it can be fixed?

Have you published the images?

Under Administration, Setup, Internet, Enterprise Portal, Publish Images

Sorry for interrupting,

But when i am trying to publish Images it is giving me a message:

"Images can not be published because Enterprise Portal is not deployed on this computer"

same in case of Manage Deployment:

"Manage Deployment can not be run because Enterprise Portal in not deployed on this computer"

Any suggestions.......

I am working on getting the images to appear in the product catalog. I have gone into Administration-Setup-internet-Product Catalog Manager-Product Groups. I serach for my top level group and I added an image using the presentations button.

I then went to Administration-Setup-internet-Enterprise Portal-Publish images and published the images.

I get the red X when I view the page. I right-clicked on the Red X image and looked at properties. I went out to the http://<server>/_layouts/EP/images/image_975_4_5637148076.gif . It is not there. How can I determine where the "Publish Images" writes the images?

I have the same problem. I already published the pictures to EP site, and I can see the image files in the folder "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS\ep\images".

But these pictures cannot be open in IE, even I directly open the URL such as " http://dax/_layouts/EP/images/image_5213_9_5637144882.jpg".

The funny thing is if I open the EP self service site in Chrome browser, all the pictures work well. I also tested with firefox. It's also ok. What's the problem with IE?!

Again, I upload a JPG file as a product image, then published the images to site again. Now I can see the new picture. The original product images come with the demo database from Microsoft. I doubt there could be problem with these pictures. I checked the produced "jpg" file in images folder and found out many pictures actually is PNG format but with JPG file extension. This could be reason why IE refuse to render the image?
