Product Master Scrap at Work Order

Hello all.. 

Do you know how to setup scrap (% or Qty) at Production Order level? 

What I want is that If I have a Sales Order for item AS001 for 10 PCS, and I know this item during production has a 20% of Scrap, consider the consuption based on Qty + Scrap.

For instance.. In my BOM, In order to produce 1 PCS of AS001, I need 2PCS of SA002 (I produced this too), so in fact I need 20PCS in total. But as I have 20% of scrap, I want my Work Order be created for 10PCS ONLY, but I want consider that I will need 24PCS of SA002 instead of 20PCS only.

I found Settings in ReleaseProduct Engineer but as I'm able to set Variant and Constant values at the same time, I'm not sure this setting would work for me.. In addition even if that were the setting I'm looking for, I would like to personalize Scrap on each work order(for same item), Somtimes 20%, sometimes 10%, depending of circunstances.

Right now If I know my scrap is 20% I and my Sales line is for 10 PCS, I create the Work Order for 12PCS but I don't like this approach Because in order to get Report Reminder as Finish = 0 I need to report 12 PCS as OK.

We are running AX2012 R3 CU12

    So what are the circumstances that might occur that would affect the value of your variation of scrap?

    If it is quantity, you would make different BOMS active for different quantity intervals.

    Hi Fredrik. Circumstances might vary, weather, skills of current personel, etc... Is just that would be good to set up scrap for main WO pproduct at workorder level...

    I worked with other ERP that I was able to do that. It was very helpfull. I was looking for that setting in AX2012 too..

    Hi Alejandro,

    You can setup scrap % on your AS001 BOM for item SA002 in Product information management - Released products - from top action pane select Engineer tab - Bom - lines - under the setup tab.

    If you are not keen to setup scrap % on master BOM, do it on production order for AS001 10 units to consume SA002 20 pcs + 20% scrap as mention  or 10%, its entirely up to you. Go to Production control - All work orders - Prior starting production order select BOM from top action pane - switch to Setup tab and state your scrap % - estimate production order and proceed as normal with RaF.
