Web Client Session Error

I'm trying to setup the GP2016 web client. It's installed and all of the services are running. I'm using normal windows auth. When I try to login I've verified that it creates a session on the backend. I can follow it in the IIS trace as it does that. Then when it sends me back to GP I get the following error:

System.Web.HttpException (0x80004005): The application source for the session was not found. If this issues persists, change the website logging verbosity to Information to see any additional information that occurred when handling the application sources.

There are no errors on the backend other then the same error in the Event log. I'm at a loss here. I've checked to make sure all of the ports are open, run database profiles to make sure that looks good, I'm not finding anything. Anyone have an idea?

I seem to be getting the same issue in my test environment for GP 2016. If you happen to find a resolution, please post it here.

    Thanks,
    Peter

I was able to correct this.  We were using a VM in a Data Center, so for the name of the computer, I was initially setting it up as MachineName, but I had to change it from MachineName to MachineName.domain.local.  I can't remember if I did this in the setup and then adjusted it in the config files or if in the setup I was able to make the adjustment (it may have been config files).
Also, when installing, we were using a 3rd party cert and in our case, I had everything pointed to the 3rd party cert except the Session Central and Session services, these were pointed to a newly created self cert.  Then I tried to point the 2 session services to the self cert, I was getting issues that it couldn't find the endpoint.

Finally I was able to resolve this by doing the following:

Repair GP Client on Web Server

    Re-import Customized Reports

Re run GP Utilities to set SQL Server login

    Repair GP Web Client

    Reset IIS

    Everything started working normal.

Q1Tech, I tried a lot of things that did not work, but this order of events did work for me.  THANKS!
