Good morning,
I have a requirement to fufill sales orders from a secondary warehouse if the primary warehouse is out of stock. The fallback warehouse does not do this as it only appears to apply if a warehouse has not been declared. Is there any way to supply from a different warehouse or even site if the requested warehouse is out of stock? It would be for AIF orders as well as order entry.

This is not possible out of box and would need a smart and careful customization to achieve the same.

Thanks for the link but we're not using master planning. I think I will use the Alternative item feature with a small mod to put a fallback warehouse check on the warehouse defaults.
Its a common need and a gap in the functionality - you might for example have a chain of stores and need to redistribute stock at the end of each period rather than buy ore stock to replenish some.
