Hi,

When I open the Modern Pos application in the Demo Hyper-V image of AX 2012 R3, I get the following error message:

Could not load type 'Microsoft.Dynamics.Retail.Notification.Contracts.ProductSearchAttributesFilterConfirmation' from assembly 'Microsoft.Dynamics.Retail.Notification.Contracts, Version=6.3.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35'. at System.Signature.GetSignature(Void* pCorSig, Int32 cCorSig, RuntimeFieldHandleInternal fieldHandle, IRuntimeMethodInfo methodHandle, RuntimeType declaringType)   at System.Signature..ctor(IRuntimeMethodInfo methodHandle, RuntimeType declaringType)   at System.Reflection.RuntimeConstructorInfo.GetParametersNoCopy()   at System.Reflection.RuntimeConstructorInfo.GetParameters()

Does someone know how to solve this? Why pops this error up.

Thanks

    Hi Tom,

Were you able to resolve this issue?  If so, do you remember what you had to do?

    Thanks,

    JJ

I had a similar problem when trying to configure EPOS on Microsoft VM with Dynamics AX 2012 R3 CU10.

    NotificationContract.png

    1. Check C:\Windows\Microsoft.Net\assembly\GAC_MSIL. Find the .assembly that has problem. Check the date and version. (it may be different from the .dll in the root folder of the POS)

    2. Check that GACUTIL. is located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v8.1A\bin\NETFX 4.5.1 Tools     in the VM-image

    3. Run the command “gacutil /u Microsoft.dynamics.retail.notification.contracts”   [or other assembly that presents the same scenario]

See kurt Hatlevik blog. There is a more detailed explanation of this problem:

    https://kurthatlevik.com/2015/06/25/dax-2012-r3-cu9-retail-database-version-mismatch-and-gac-issues/

    I Hope this Helps!
