Hi, I want to have primary contact displayed in case form, I know I can get it from the quick view form, but what if I just need the name lookup field, nothing else, can I put that outside the quick view form ?

No, you can configure server side sync with an exchange profile.
Hi,
I am having both CRM 2016 and exchange are on-prem.
In this case is it required to configure email router?
Not sure.. I'm still not getting it.. maybe you could draw something up quickly and post a screenshot (what you want to be able to see/do)
Basically, I want to populate this field automatically, in quick view form, it is able to achieve that, and workflow doesn't populate the lookup field.
I'm missing something.. what is it you are trying to do? If you add that lookup, you'll see contact name right on the case form. You'll need to open contact record to update the name. But it's not different from the quick view form - they are readonly as well.
That is true, but I do not think it is able populate the value like the quick view form, got use workflow?
Hi sdnd,
can't you just add primarycontactid field to the case form(I believe it's already there out of the box)?
