Yes, you can.
Which version do you use? Online or OnPremise?
You just select to show all of the Activities under account
In activity entity, actually CRM stored activity type, which is the activity entity, when you create a new custom activity entity, you define that this entity is Activity. For system entity, by default it has it values of Activity Type

CRM stores in the Activity table the type of the Activity, whether Appointment, Task, Phone Call, Fax, Letter, etc as Option Set value which is you can query using SQL or Fetch XML.
