Is MS Dynamics SL not supported in a VMware environment?

I could not find any information on MS showing that this product is supported in a VMWare environment.  Only on Hyper-V.  We have been heavily invested in VMWare for about 5 years now and need to leverage our current infrastructure.

Also, for a user base of about 20 users, are SATA drives supported or only SCSI drives recommended?

    Did you finally deploy on VMWare ?

    We too are using a similar environment - ESX servers and VMView.

    We have been running Dynamics SL 7.0 SP1 with Server 2008 SP2 and SQL Server 2005 SP2 (64-bit OS and SQL) in a VMWare environment for 8 months without issue.

    We have setup a Win2k8 R2 with SQL 2k8 64bit and will be installing Dynamics 2011 within the next month.  I did find that MS will support this configuration in conjuction with VMware should any issues pop up.  So far we haven't had any issues.

    We have been running 6.5 with SQL 2005 x64 on vmware for about two years without issue.  We have had 2011 and SQL 2008 R2 on vmware for a few months, going live in oct, without issue.

    We have vmware running on a SATA SAN and the performance is good.  We have around 25 users...

    Yes, SL runs in the VM environment. Many of the largest SL shops, including where I work, are on VMWare.  I don't know about the official stance of support on VMWare but I do know that SL tech support will answer support questions about SL running in a VMWare enviroment.

    The SL system does not care what type of drives are used. It's just the faster the better.
