Opportunity and quote question

Hi all, 

i've a connector (with SDK) that sync quotes and related orders from ERP to CRM. Our customer request the possibility to manually connect a quote into a new opportunity. We have created a new relation and a subgrid but when i add quote there's no possibility to choice existing too (only new).

There's some alternative solution?

    Hi,

    Do you need to use a new relationship - could you not use the existing opportunity - quote relationship?

    But to specifically to answer your question - if you want to be able to add an existing quote you need to ensure that the opportunity attribute on the quote is not mandatory (Business Required).

    Hi Scott,

    your suggestion does not work. I've already changed type of connection as optional but add only new quote.

    Hi,

    i've changed approach to process for link quote to opportunity: we start from quote already created by ERP connector and, with existing lookup we'll select right opportunity. In this way if, in the future, customer request to create quote directly from Dynamics CRM we use "+" button from opportunity.
