CRM 2016-Creating contact records instead of updating from package

I am investigating this issue personally. I am facing a  challenge 

while creating we did not have an issue but whenever we tried to update an contact it used to end up creating a new record (single) .  here in this case we do not have any integrations or workflows to create records. In SSIS Package it is and Update statement but we are not sure why it is creating

    Hi CRM Guy,

    Check to see if there are any Plugins or JavaScript running on update of a contact record. Custom development could be responsible for creating the new records.

    Hi,

    Make sure you are setting up key attributes properly, it may be you are using upsert and it's not able to find your key that's why creating record.
