Demand Forecast Table vs Sales Lines

Hi I'm currently working on AX2012 R3 CU13, few weeks ago I started to get some issues running MRP seems that the demand forecast is not getting updated as sales order journals are, I would like to know if there is any way to get linked the sales line table with forecast sales, so in case any sales line is updated forecastsales is as well.

I would like to avoid created any development or change any MRP logic of AX standard.

    Hi Jose Eliseo Nunez,

If you want to reduce forecast with actual sales then you can use Reduction principle on the master plan setup, refer to docs.microsoft.com/.../reduction-keys for examples

Hi Natalia, I'm facing the issue that users are updating journals within sales orders but this changes are not reflected on the demand forecast, besides that link you provide me work for other issue I'm facing thanks a lot :)

    Hi Jose Eliseo Nunez,

When you say: "journals withing sales order" do you mean sales order with type journal?

yes that is exactly what I'm talking about

Sales order with type “Journal” is considered as draft sales order, it does not affect stock quantity, standard AX does not create inventory transaction for it, therefore master planning does not see it as existing demand. Here is a detail explanation of order statuses https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa551278.aspx

It sounds like you are handling your demand forecast in two places as a Sales forecast and sales order journals. What is the reason behind this process? as now you are maintaining data in both entities separately since they are not related. Would it be an option for you to create and update forecast records only which will affect your MRP and do not use journals at all?
