D365FO Route Operation Process or Setup job IDs Are Disabled

Hi,

While exploring modifying route operations, I tried selecting either Process or Setup job IDs in Route > select Operation >General but it's not being saved. When I make an attempt to save a route, both fields become grayed out. Is there any additional configuration I should check? I tried various products and routes with the same result. I'm working with a D365FO default test data in USMF company. One of the tested items is D0002.

Thank you!

Ok, then you need the job records. There is the Job form to show them. They appear either after the 1st Job scheduling of the production order or as you click the "Renew" job button (or a button similarly called).

To get the jobs scheduled with a time (capacity) > 0, you need a Route group in the route operation where all checkboxes are marked against either Process and/or Setup, and the route operation has a process time per unit and/or setup time.

I created a test production order and it didn't show job IDs when I printed the route card. I then found old production orders for the same item and job IDs were displayed when I reprinted route cards. I'm working on a report customization and need job IDs to be displayed for testing.

Hello, Job ID for Process and Setup saved directly in the route operation is an obsolete, barely used feature from the past where the Jobs records were not used but somehow simulated by the Route.

What are you trying to achieve?
