I find that if security objects created using the application itself ( using the option: security configuration  )they will never appear in development environment . so I have deploy what I have on multiple site  should I repeat what I did from scratch or there is a way to extra what I did regarding security and deploy it on other sites ?

Also,  is there any way to make security objects created from application similar to that created from development environment

    Hi Maram,

Your question is not fully clear. What exactly are you asking in the last sentence?

It is possible to export the security configurations and import it in another environment. There are options to do so on the security configuration form.

I do not find such options in security configuration.

in the last sentence I mean  need the objects created using security configuration  to be appear in development are such that when a package is created they will be incldued automatically.

Is there any way to simplify the way of creation security objects from visual Studio similar to that in AX 2012  for example if I have a form I need to include all menu items on this form under the security role without adding them one by one

    Hi Maram,

In AX 2012 you also had to link each menu item one by one, unless you used the Security Development Tool. This tool is not provided for D365. It would be possible to create own plug-ins for Visual Studio.

Can you please, provide me with a  link or any document for how to enable this plug-ins ?

    Hi Maram,

You can probably start reading on the next page: docs.microsoft.com/.../developer-tools-add-ins

The tool is there in bits and pieces and task recorder now also has a part to play is security

In Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, take a task recording of the duties the user needs to perform and analyze these to determine the role, duties or privileges to be assigned. Once the recording is created and saved, Go to System Administration> Security> Security diagnostics for task recordings and Browse to find the file

The first step is to create a task recording of the duty that the user is needing access to.  Go to the settings icon at the top right of the Home page and select Task recorder.  Walk through the steps create a new recording and save it. Once the task recording is loaded, it will open the Security menu item details screen.  This will detail all items that are found in the task recording.  You can then choose different User IDs to check if the person has security to this task.  The Missing permissions column will populate with “Yes” if the person is missing the necessary security to access that screen.  You can then use this information to assign the appropriate security for this User
