Hi all,
We have several multi line text fields in our solution which, on mouseover/hover, display a huge tooltip with the value of the field that obscures most of the page (the text in these fields is in some cases 5000+ characters in length). Is there any way to disable the mouseover text for the value of a field (as opposed to the label of a field which I know is set via the description attribute)? Any guidance would be much appreciated.
Thanks very much
Sam
Hi Stefan
Thanks so much for your response - it was the field content tooltip we wanted to hide. I ended up finding a workaround which also solves another issue we were having (clickable hyperlinks in text fields) and that is by using the new Rich Text control for multiline text fields included in the 2020 Release Wave 2. We don't get the tooltip anymore :) thanks for your reply!
Sam
Hi Sam,
If a field contains a description, then it will be displayed when hovering over the field. If the description field is empty, on hover it will simply display the label.
Try leaving the description field empty .
If you mean hovering over the field content only, I don't think there is an out of the box way of hiding the tooltip.
I would suggest raising a case to clarify this behavior.
Hope this helps!
