Mail from external CRM to Internal Exchange

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello Guys

We are using Microsoft Dynamics from a external Provider. An we are using Exchange 2013 in our Internal Infrastructure.

We want to configure that the CRM can send mail through our Exchange 2013 Server. But we get the following Error:

    Hi Frank

    Thanks for your Reply.

    • OWA can be accessed from the outside
    • Apparently we are using the side Sync method
    • It seems like a authentification error. Mailing is working with the Admin Credentials

    Hi lowproud

Please confirm the following is working:

    • Can you connect to your Exchange server from the outside of your organization? Like via OWA?

    • If so, test the https protocol as listed in your trace stack to see whether you can send and receive emails

    • If not so, use tracert to see what is the route of your packets to the email server and check the relay paths

    • Check the permissions on the Exchange server for the test mailbox

    • Of cause the obvious username and password

As an aside, what method are you using to connect to your Exchange server? Email router, forwarding mailbox or Server Side Sync?
