Report Definition header in Management Reporter - "@datelong"

Posted on by 855

In FRx the @datelong autotext would display the date in the format "May 31, 2011" but in Management Reporter the @datelong displays the date as "Tuesday, May 31, 2011".

We do not want the day of the week to appear in the report header. Is there a way to modify the autotext?

    Nancy,

That is correct, grant the user the permissions, change the settings and then take the permissions away. Keep me updated on if it works out for you.

    Thanks,

    April

    April,

I can give that a try but service accounts don't have rights to log in.  I am going to have to grant the service account rights to log in and then change the setting for that user.

I will update once I test.

    Regards,

    Nancy

    Nancy,

The date settings are by user, so to get it to show correctly on the web viewer, please change the date time settings for the process service user (user running the services on the server). This should resolve the issue.

    Thanks,

    April

    April,

I am having issues with IE.  If I make the recommended changes to the Windows environment and generate to Report Viewer I no longer see the day of the week.  If I generate to the Web Viewer it still shows the day of the week.  I am on RU5

We are using a terminal server environment and the regional settings have been changed.  When I run the reports as an administrator on the server I see the correct dates but when a non-administrator runs the report they still see the day of the week.  Any ideas for what security changes need to be made short of giving everyone administrator privileges?

If you don't have privileges to make the changes then you should have your administrator do so for you.  Servers / computers get locked down by policies and you must work within the policy guidelines.

If you do not have priveleges to change the global setting, how do you fix the long date.

    Hello Tom,

Please modify your regional settings on your operating system to not include the day of the week, and this will be reflected in the headers. The headers in Management Reporter use Operating System regional settings.

    Thanks,

    April
