Connecting ArcGIS with Microsoft GP

Hello all,

I am currently looking for a solution or service that can connects Arcmap with Microsoft GP to eliminate Double work.

The current work flow is that when they are planning a change on the grid ,they would draw and list the materials they need first on ArcGIS and then they would need to again one by one add the "assembly" again on Microsoft GP. I would like to know if there is a way to streamline this where for example you draw the plan on Arcmap and it would be immediately be available in Microsoft GP .

I have heard of econnect but i could not find cases where people have done what i am looking for.
