Maximum Number of Records in an Entity

Hello,

What is the maximum number of records in an entity, is there a CRM limitation or is the man number based on SQL?

I plan on importing 250K records in a custom entity, things are working great with my 100K+ records so far. This entity will primary be used for archiving and only accessed for by custom reports.

I am aware of limitations when using charts or exporting to Excel and this does not affect me.

    Hi Jerry,

There is no limit in Dynamics CRM database as its depends on database space which you have in your current online instance and you can buy more space if you want.

    Hope this helps

    This is helpful. Another question.

What do I need access too to see how big my db is? Will MS monitor this and resize if needed? At a cost obviously.

    Hi Jerry,

For CRM online, you don't get the direct access to see the database but you can use org insights to see top table consuming most of the database. You can also contact Microsoft and they can share you the complete list of table with rows and size.

Also, Microsoft monitor the database and once you reach near to you rlimit, they will start sending notification to purchase more space.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

You will see slowness in application use when your db size will be reaching near to the limit, and Microsoft will send you notification to buy more space, further you can request them which specific table has increased .
