We are implementing Dynamics 365 Events using Dynamics 365 Portals and I am wondering if there is a way to set Events as Private Events. These Events should not be visible in the portal for registering, but our customers should be able to register to them using the registration link. Has anyone explored this scenario?

Sure - we recommend that you leverage the event API, and in your backend (not in the frontend, for security reasons) - filter out events that are private before showing them on the event website.
This would make sure that an event that you set to Private (a new custom boolean field on your event) are still available to register - but they're not available to everyone on the website.
Please note that if someone guesses the event readable ID (and thus the event URL), they would still be able to get to your private event - we recommend using secure readable IDs for such events which makes this more secure.

Thanks Shravan. We have used a new boolean field as suggested and works great. And thanks for the input on readable ID, thats useful as well.
