Is it possible to create a Discount button for current item. I need to set 20% and 50% discounts but my problem is it has to be on a per item basis. I know I can use Shift and F3 and select current item but it is very time consuming for what I need to do

Jay,
RITE Open Discount adds a touch screen optimized discount window to Microsoft Dynamics RMS. Easily accessible from one of the custom RMS buttons. Open Discount allows a cashier to quickly add a preset discount to an item or transaction. Owners and managers can create discounts and easily add them to this tool.
Here is a link to our video for this software so that you can see the add-on in action. If you have any further questions or want an interactive demo please feel free to contact me.
Hi Jay,
This can be created as Custom POS buttons, if you are interested contact us at:
Hi Jay.
Talk to your RMS partner, they should be able to build up a small add-on for this. It should not be too dificult to achive what you want...
Kind regards, A.
Hi Jay,
If you are unable to locate a solution with existing RMS feature set, we could build some Custom POS buttons for you to perform item specific discounts.
Hello Jay,
There is not a way to prevent the discount from being used multiple times or to give an error message.
I would recommend training your cashiers to only apply the discount one.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Thank you,

Just had another go at the Macros and I might be able to achieve what I want. The only thing is there a way to limit the discount only once. Can I give a warning to say discount all ready applied to this item and stop from applying again.
I have tried using macros already but it applies the discount on the whole transaction. Also an item has to be selected for the "Perform discount on current item" to be shown otherwise it is greyed out.
You can accomplish that with Macros.
Go through the POS help file on how to record macros
Yes that is exactly what I need.
So are you saying you want to have two discount buttons, one 20% and another 50% so based on the button you select it will apply that value to the current selected item automatically?
