Missing Content in home screen for all modules

I just upgraded a system from GP 2010, to GP 2015 (14.00.0661).  All workstations are working fine except one.

On one workstation Windows 7 Professional with 2 GB RAM  when logging into GP with any user the Home screen will appear, and can go in and customize the home screen, but the navigation pane is disabled. Can not click on any thing in the navigation pane.

Yet I can go through the menu items and go into all the modules and open up any of the windows that way.

Any suggestion on what may be going on?

Did you try toggling the navigation pane off/on?  From the home page, click the navigation pane shortcut (top-right, next to the help icon).  Click "Navigation Pane" so that it is unchecked, then repeat the process to re-mark it.

If that doesn't resolve it, try resetting the user's home page role:  From the home page, click "Customize this page" and then select "Change role."  NOTE: You'll lose any customizations previously made to the home page.

Yes  tried resetting the user home page as well as toggling on an off the navigation pain.  I logged on with that user to another workstation, and the navigation pain works fine.  It seems to be a workstation issue.  But have no idea what that might be.

If you log onto the problem workstation as a different user, do you have the same problem?

You could try copying the GP program folder from a workstation that does not have this issue, and then pasting it onto your problem workstation.  If there is something in the installation that is causing the problem, that should resolve it.

To do that, on a workstation that does not have this issue, copy the C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics\GP2015 folder onto a flash drive (or perhaps onto a shared network drive).  Then, paste that entire folder onto the workstation that does have the issue.

Good luck with it!  Post back if it doesn't work.

    Hi Nelson,

I am having the same issue with 2 users at a single workstation.  Did you find a solution that worked?

    Thanks,

Miranda, do all users have the issue or only 2 users have the problem.

If all users then that points to code issues

If only one or two that could point to security selections - either on the Task or Roll level or even at the windows Folder level.

I have seen strange, but home pages take the cake.

I have not found a solution yet.  I have tried to uninstall that workstation and reinstall.  Copy the Dynamics folder from a working workstation.  And none of them have fixed the issue.

What can you learn from the Folder level security?  Who has FULL rights, do any of the users have restrictions?

    Post screen shot if needed.
