Journal Batch Printing takes more than hour

Hi,

When I try to print the Journal Batch edit check report. It taking many hours(80 transactions) . Due to this issue batches are getting struck.

I have two GP company. in first company it is working fine. But in second company it is taking long time. Both company has the similar posting setup.

Can anyone assist me to resolve this issue?

    I would first backup your company data and then run Check Links on the Financial series. Do this with no one in the GP in that company. Maintenance->Check Links->Financial If this takes a long time, you may have an issue with SQL. Check with your DBA.

    Have you tried to run SQL profiler in order to check what's happening ?

    I have tried Check Links. Check links runs quickly.

    When i run the profile it is validating the AA transactions of each journal.

    But compared to another GP company it taking more than 2 hours to print single journal edit batch.

    Assuming you don't have SQL skills in house at a sufficient level to diagnose this, you can try rebuilding your indexes and updating your column stats in your SQL server maintenance overnight for your company DB.

    Stab in the dark without profiling the server.
