Can't edit Status Reason on Email when editing solution. Possible corruption?

Hi,

I'm having an issue currently where when I open the status reason field on email entity to edit it via solution explorer the "Status" line is stuck as Open. The Status line is greyed out and doesn't change if I click in it.

If I use internet Explorer then I can open, view and edit the labels of the status reason options themselves but can't edit the default value (control on bottom right) because it's also greyed out like the status is. Fig1.

status also can't be changed.

If I use Google Chrome then the Default value (bottom right control) can be changed but the options themselves can't be accessed as the list is not visible outside of the default value selector.  If I click on Edit, nothing happens. But if I click Add, then close the popup window without adding a new entry, then click Edit, the bottom (last) status reason option opens in a pop up. Only that one opens and allows me to edit the label. Fig 2

With both browsers the Status cannot be changed fro Open to see the status reasons for Completed or for canceled.

<Side issue/note, I also noticed that there are two options with the same label "To be Sent" (they have different values, I confirmed this by querying the filtered view on sql). I mean to remove one of them but my first priority is getting the field back to working order in terms of being able to edit it. I tried renaming, then deleting one then both of these options (in an experimental instance used to test behaviour but the status remains unchangeable so it doesn't seem to be that anyway.>

Has anyone seen anything like this before? Is there anything I can do to be able to edit this field again?

Note: The status can be changed when editing the status reason field on other activities such as letter, phone call.

We're using CRM 2015 on Premises.

IE version is 11.1715.14393.0

Chrome version is 63.0.3239.132 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Many thanks,

Mohamed

    Hi,

I can't do it either with the email - it's probably just locked.

As for Chrome vs IE - this is an issue in the latest versions (basically, you can't really edit status reasons using latest Chrome versions in the 8.2/v9 at least)

    Thank you Alex,

It helps to know that its not just something we have done with our solution.

    Thanks again,

    Mo
