sending emails without outlook in Dynamics GP 2010/13

as we are making multiple non-core functions to the cloud, email is one of them. the goal being to only use web clients for email such as outlook.com or gmail if it turns out this way.

I do believe various companies are moving away from fat clients and the current OOB experience for email in GP I know is an annoyance.

Nonetheless we will not have the fat outlook client on our workstations anymore. Does/Will GP2010 or 2013 be capable of sending emails without the fat client? and most importantly Out of the Box?

I would recommend you review the System Requirements pages for GP 2010 and GP 2013. Also review the Admin guides as it has all this information in them.

The short answer is yes but it depends on the version of Outlook and what version of GP you are going to be on.
