I have been going through the PL 400 learning path . I noticed in contrast to MB 400 the materials doesn't mention anything about web resources , plugin or any sort of custom development using code . To an extend , I understand this is because MS want to promote the low code / no code philosophy . But in reality almost all existing d365 implementations are heavily based on javascript for client side logic, html sometimes and lot of code in the form of plugins and custom actions to the least.
And Microsoft has not let go of any of these code components , for they are all very well supported in d365 apps or any new model driven app that we create. Doesn't this conscious omission of these important building block create a wrong notion as these are not part of dynamics anymore to new learners at least . Want to hear about opinion of experts over here.
Warm Regards,
Soumya.
Hello,
I passed PL400 a few weeks ago and I got multiple coding questions for JS, Plugins and PCF control. There were questions around Power Automate and Canvas Apps as well but... you have to face the reality - there is no need for Pro-Devs in some projects and business objectives can be delivered in a no-code/low-code manner.
