How to show inventory content page when inventory is not registered?

If Inventory is not registered but Service items are still being set up, is there a way to show the inventory page (enable a button in the navigation pane)?

In our system we cannot get the Inventory button to show.  I assume it is because we do not have Inventory registered as we don't want to use the full blown inventory.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Debra

Hi - registering Inventory won't force you to use full blown inventory. you can still just use service items.

    Some questions:

    1. When you say Inventory button, what do you mean? Do you mean you want to be able to go to Cards >> Inventory >> Item?

    2. Where are you setting up the Service Items?

    3. What additional data do you want to enter that is not available on the window you cannot see?

    Best regards,

    Ian.

I would like to be able to go to the Content Page.  On the home page there are Module Tiles (buttons) that take you to the content page for that module.

With Inventory not registered that tile does not seem to be available.  I can use the menus (Cards > Inventory  Item) but I can't use the content page.

Activating Inventory does change the way inventory responds.  ie you need at least one site, at least one Price level, etc.  This changes the way entries and integrations are handled.  So yes, we can set up service items, but it isn't as easy as just registering Inventory.

Aha - yes understood. For sure, registering Inventory Module will force you to complete some setup, and yes this would have a knock on for integrations. I don't think there is a way around this. what content on the Inventory page re you looking to access? If its just a user experience issue you could maybe look at adding the relevant windows to your shortcuts? If its the navigation lists and graphs, then you're probably out of luck.

    Ian.
