How to export customers list into excel file in Dynamics GP 2013 automatically?
*This post is locked for comments
Pallavi,
Did you try to put customer master onto refreshable excel so its always have latest information and no need to export.
I am not sure how automatically you want it but there are a couple of choices I would think of.
First and likely the simplest is to open the Customer List in Smartlist and click the EXCEL button on the top of the screen. Now, not AUTOMATIC, but, likely no more than 1 or 2 mouse clicks if you set up the short-cut as a favourite
Second option, requiring a bit more effort is to create a SQL Link in Excel to the RM00101 table and have a Live Link to the table, therefore, each and everytime you open that EXCEL file, it refreshes the content with the latest and greatest information on the Customers.
If this helps, let me know, let others know as well.
Hi Babu,
Can You please tell me the steps how to make refreshable Excel.
Thankyou
Hi Bill Campbell,
I want my Excel sheet to be automatically populated on timely basis so first choice is not suitable . Can you please tell me the proper steps of Second option.
We setup subscriptions using SRSS reports. You can set a time, have it emailed or saved on a shared source; choose file format for saving.
Hi Pallavi,
Open the excel report builder, give a report ID and report name then press Plus + button and and select Dynamics GP Table
Product - Microsoft Dynamics GP
Series - Sales
Table - RM00101 (RM Debtor MSTR)
Press Save
Give a view name and press Publish
Publish To - File
Data Connection
File Name : Give the File name
Location : Select the location where you wanted to store this file
Untick the Create Excel Report
Permissions - Mark All - Press OK
Press Publish.
Now go to the path and open the data connection file which will be opened in excel and save it with required format. And in data connection properties you can change the condition to refresh on timely or refresh while opening. Please try this and let me know.
Did you try this if you have any doubt on this how to deploy excel reports you may refer to the following link.
