3 Questions about GP 9.0

Posted on by 110

Having some issues in GP 9.0 and hoping someone can help me.

We have adminstrative rights to GP, so we should have 100% access.

1) When trying to creat new Trial Balance reports for Purchasing and Receivables, we are unable to access any of the report options other then the query information at the bottom of the report specs screen.  All of the options (year to include, sort by, etc) are visible on the screen but grayed-out.  Does anyone know how to make these options available?

2) When transferring inventory items, they price/cost field does not get populated, nor does the item price/cost show up on the transfer report.  We have confirmed that the items we are attempting to transfer have both current and standard price, as well as recent purchases.  Can anyone shed some light on why this field will not populate in the transfer screen?

3) How do retrieve historical bank reconciliations within GP?

As always, thank you for your help.

    Hi James,

I'll give a try to answering your questions:

    1) In order to get the options available, you need to choose the report 'aged trial balance with options' instead of just trial balance. Trial balance is the first choice, but scroll down and you will find the 'with options' report.

    2) In the Inventory Control Setup window there is a checkbox in the Display section 'Cost for Decrease Adjustments'. If this box is not checked, then you will get $0.00 in the transfer entry screen for unit cost.

    3) I do not think this is possible. You will need to build the report yourself using the information in the tables. You can do it because the information is available, but it is not one of the canned reports.

     Kind regards,

    Leslie
